Until they made Alex gay. Really? What was the point of doing that?
There was no point in doing that except to have a "gay character" in the show. It is really getting tiring having unnecessary "being gay" moments shoved in our faces by t.v. shows and movies. -

NO!
The fact that people actually blame the downfall of the show on the lesbian romance is redicilous. In fact the romance between Alex and Maggie hasnt been so bad. Not the best romance portrayal but still not so bad [like Olicity].
THE REAL reason this show has fallen [something that has been happening since season 1] is that there is no story and there is very illogical character development. All the characters in the show are adults and yet they behave like very young teenagers with the mindset of children. Furthermore there is zero consistency in the development. Supergirls powers are all over the place. You wanna talk about Alex? When the show first started she was well written. But near the end of season 1 they ruined her by having her ignore her agent training and act her emotions even though she knew that she would probably end up being used against Kara instead of helping her.
So this while i can understand people being bothered a bit by the lesbian romance it still is wrong to actually fully blame it for the downfall of the show. -

No it isn't wrong to blame the downfall on that, they did it to just please the LGBTQRSTUVHKFL community, that's it. Yes the show wasn't that great to begin with, but the decision to make Alex gay (btw, she's not the main character) just so they can have a gay person. The show is called "Supergirl" not "Supergirl and her family/friends lovelife".

No, actually it was great and it still is. It's one of the two best shows on TV.
The show is called "Supergirl" not "Supergirl and her family/friends lovelife".
You are an idiot

They arent.
The Flash was good in season 1 but afterwards it fell big time.
Supergirl was mediocre at first but near the end of season 1 and in season 2 it also fell big time.

Was this show ever great? Yeah really, it seems you weren't watching the show everyone was watching, the best thing they could do ws getting rid of Cat ('though the actress is wow) and making Alex gay (but they should up the heat between her and her Maggie), by the way, I am male.

Great may have been used too lightly. The show was decent, now it's just crap. If you have such a hard on for gay women, go to pornhub instead of wanting to get off on a show that you'll never see anything.

this show is definitely the Best comic book show on tv. Its a reason its 100% on rotten tomatoes. I agree turning Alex gay was a bit stupid but it does not change the show its still very good. The only thing i hate about her being gay is that it brought with it some insane hypocritical fans from LGBT Community. Never seen a more selfish and hypocritical people than those

you gotta be kidding me.
Go and see the rating, the show is dropping by the second. They are constantly sacrificing plot in the name of liberal Drivel and it will be the show final downfall.
flash have almost 3 times the rating of this show, and flash although is a primary Superhero from the justice league is in equal popularity with supergirl in the comics.
even supernatural is in the same rating with this show and supernatural is a 12 years old show. -

Oh so they can't please gays or straight men, they should only cater to you, a narrow-minded male watching a show about a female superhero? If that was their target audience they would have made a Power Girl show instead.

I can't believe this rated "G" gay relationship is bothering you like this. Maggie only shows up on the scene to say, "Hey, I'm just here so everybody knows Alex is gay."
A person is never happy except at the price of some ignorance.

The quality of the show has indeed fallen. It's a shame. I loved season one and liked season 2 but season 3 has been a real slog.
They need new writers to get this back up to season one standards.
Drop Mon-El. too much relationship drama/not enough superheroics.
You're from the future?Well that's brilliant!Do they still have sandwiches there?
