.'If you watched the show, you'd know it was what Maggie said to Alex when she initially turned her down. Sorry, not "liberalese" at all. Just talking within the context of the show."
I saw the episode you're referring to. It's just lazy speak kind of like "preggers".
They're both stupid terms. -

As a Republican, please do not make Republicans look bad. We get enough flak as it is.
We don't need your help making it worse.

A friendly suggestion.
The less people try to defend bad writing and rushed storylines because they are about things close to their heart, the more we'll get competent writing about those issues, that will ultimately make everyone happy.
At least then, when someone objects, you (not you personally) can call them a bigot and actually have a leg to stand on.
Not to mention we'll have something good to watch/read/whatever.
You're suffering from delusions of adequacy.

Why pay for professional script-writers when you can have interns from college for free, especially when CW's rankings are lower for a show to be successfull.
P.S. That was mostly sarcasm, but

Young, impressionable, inexpensive, indoctrinated
Yup, I think I see the appeal.
You're suffering from delusions of adequacy.

.'Ok. That's fine. Thanks for giving us your opinion of the dialogue used in the show."
If that's the attitude you're going to want to punch me in the face when I tell you what I really think of Greg Berlanti's insincere forced changes with Guardian and Alex. -

Nah- you're entitled to your opinions, 100%. Honestly! You're allowed to like/dislike the writing all you want- doesn't change my opinion or enjoyment of this show! To each their own.

I liked the kiss too. My mom didn't, but she's 68 years old and a product of her time. She started watching TV when she like 8, things have progressed far in 60 years, and she's still getting used to these things.
