What did you think of him as Supes tonight?

I liked him a lot. It feels like we're getting the comic book Superman for the first time. I actually wouldn't mind seeing him show up again.
Looks like it too, me neither. I really liked the actor in the film Road to Perdition and while I was a bit nervous after that first image of him & Melissa, the scene with him on the phone with Perry White had me sold.

He pretty much nailed the character. This rendition of Superman is better than the last three movie depictions (Superman Returns, Man of Steel, and Batman vs. Superman).
At only 6' tall, he's a little short and slight of build, but these are minor details. -

I loved him. I will admit when I am wrong because I initially wasn't impressed with the casting but he did a great job. He was fun, charming and seemed competent as a reporter. He also had great chemistry with Melissa. The Rocket saving scene was epic, no other way to describe it.
He's had the clap so many times it's more like an applause -

When I first saw him (talking on the phone with Perry White) didn't like him. Didn't like his 'pointing' nose, plus he has a little crooked teeth and a couple of yellow ones (or less white, but noticeable).
After that it grew on me. He has chemistry with Supergirl, and overall looks kind.
But I doubt he could carry a major movie in his 'Superman' shoulders. He is not that impressive. -

I thought he was great. made a good Superman AND Clark Kent. much better than emoman from the films.
Considering people are raving about him, a Superman series would be a no-brainer but I'm sure snyder would stand in the way of that, in one episode they linked to Burtons Batman films, Reeves original Superman films, and with the guest shots already on Supergirl they are also linked to Green Arrow and The Flash so with a couple lines of dialogue they've pretty much made a deep shared universe that is far more satisfying than Snyders. Thanks to Batmeh v Supermeh Yawn of Justice, the "S" now stands for Sidekick -

I will not compare him to Mr. Reeve since his level of playing this role's kinda unattainable. That said, he's good. Better than Henry Cavil. Unlike the DCEU Superman, he's more hopeful. So so far, I like what I see.

I DO agree on the costume, I wasn't a fan of the fat belt and the way the cape attached over the shoulders, and from several angles the cape looked like plastic.

He NAILED it! It really was a pleasant surprise!
I like Cavill, but he's rarely given much of a chance to just be cool, so it's unfair to compare just yet. Still, he was strong, confident, and maybe one of the most important things about Superman.he was NICE! Supes isn't some angry looking muscleman, he's the world's greatest hero and an inspiration to everyone, and much of that is because he's a big boy scout who's nice to everyone (I liked how even Kara was "oh please" when he was shaking hands and praising everyone at the DEO). The best part is that he manages all of this with utmost naturality. He doesn't feel forced or fake or anything, or like he's trying too hard, he plays him like Clark putting on a costume, and that's where i think he's just nailing it.
Frankly, a great version of the character! AndBTW, GREAT episode! Off to a good 2nd season! -

I really enjoyed this version. Very much the boy scout and awkward Clark, yet with an underlying fierceness I wouldn't want to agitate. I also like that he's not super muscular. Superman's strength doesn't come from muscles, and having Henry Cavill be so pumped seems out of place. It also diminishes the physicality of the new Batman, who needs to be big and fit to do what he does.

The look is a bit off (it's tough to live up to the standard of physical perfection for Superman), I thought he looked a lot better as Clark than Supes. But the performance was on point. Great chemistry with Melissa.

He was awesome. Sure it would be great if he was 2 inches taller but it doesn't really matter much in the big scheme of things. The acting was great, he fit in well with the other characters and had great chemistry with Melissa. I couldn't ask for more. Great casting on this one, Berlanti and co.
God, how I love this cheesy show.
