    First, it was stunning. I'm curious if anyone else noticed the red motif. It seemed to be very strategically used. Any ideas on significance/meaning?

      All of the film's technical merits were incredibly realized.
      Given how people use color as a way to emphasize certain emotions (another recent example would be the use of red throughout Tom Ford's "Nocturnal Animals"), the red was used to emphasize the simmering passion in Lady Hideko.
