Channel Nine here in Sydney is about to start screening the series. When I saw the ads for it last night I thought it was a sequel to "A.D The Bible Continues" but no!!..it seems Channel Nine thinks having the word "bible" in a title is commercial poison and has renamed it to something more palatable. This in a country where according to surveys the majority of people still think of themselves as "Christian". Channel 9 obviously disagrees or perhaps it prefers to believe we are deluding ourselves thinking we're good Christians when what we really want to be is good Consumers worshiping at the altar of materialism and buying junk from its sponsor.
When major national broadcasters like Channel Nine are so complicit in the undermining of long-held community values and beliefs is it any wonder that so many young people today have a crisis of identity as they lurch from one fad ideology or cult to nihilism and back again. -

Most Christians aren't Christian. They're nothing like the Messiah. They break the Law of Moses, Love gays and teaches God Loves them too, they say Jesus is God, and they celebrate pagan holidays and eat unclean food (pork) Leviticus 11

I think having "The Bible Continues" in the original title was a mistake, because it infers that this is a sequel to The Bible Series and it's not. New cast, new plot, new everything. It'll do better without that title.

I've read about Australia leading the world in non-believers. Maybe Channel Nine changed the title so the non-believers will watch anyway.
