Should the Democrats put someone better forward net time for possible POTUS?

I'm sure there'll be a meeting later on today within the Republican party to see who they can start to groom into being their possible next contender for once Trump leaves office.
JD is there and popular but he's still relatively young and Gabbard would be great as a woman of colour who has served in the armed forces but that might wind up the Olde Boys.
Having a strong team ready to take the reigns and who will work together is what both parties should be doing instead of what both have done with Jeb and Hillary.
Even a really good, but unknown, actor would be better than what's been put towards the public these past 10 years.

Vance has the chops, smarts, and guts to be president NOW. He will be even more ready in 4 years. I'd love to see him and Gabbard run together.
The fact that we get Vance with Trump was a major plus for me from the moment he was picked. If something happens to Trump during his term, he would be about the best I can imagine to take the Oval Office. He won't bend the knee to the D.C. power structure either. He's a very principled man.

I don't know enough about Vance yet (Apart from that fake couch thing that the pundits tried to float) but he speaks earnestly, and with candour, and seems to be charismatic with it without coming across as fake.
Perfect sociopathic politician material but also, if I'm sceptical about it all, possible a decent human being.
I'm always sketchy with younger people being in the top job roles as it almost inevitably leads to ego flexing to some degree but that seems to happen with older people too, just a little better hidden.
Either way I like those two too and so the Republicans already have decent hitters in their ranks for later.
But what about the Democrats?

Unless they can revamp themselves into understanding that individuals are only parts of a group and not identical components within it and that all people are the same they don't stand a chance of getting through to people who care about those around them.
I think they're going to have to go back to the board and rebuild themselves up completely as a brand.
But they'll probably still just wait and watch and take potshots through the dying media they've used to oppress folk for so long.

The misogyny within the Democratic party has been fairly full on for the past 8 years.
Belittling women into just being 'birthing people' and bad at sports is merely the icecap of what their overall message has been.
Were I a woman I'd be pretty miffed at how my entire gender was being treated.
Particularly if I was a lesbian and being told that not going out with a state sanctioned 'woman' was somehow a hate crime
They need to hire actual people with life experience and not folk who passed the Marist doctrine at university to hopefully get a job in their ranks or have their useless student load debt paid off.
