It astounds me how many people say they didn't like the latest episode.

I can't understand. It was creepy, it was disturbing, it was Ash dealing with a new threat that he never dealt with before, so it was refreshing. We got to see some range from all the actors. I actually felt like Ash could have very well been a big, crazy psycho murderer, but at the same time, I felt sympathy for him (even though it was all fake) but watching that brutal murder of the patient and orderly was horrific enough (felt like I was watching footage of an actual murder taking place) and then watching Ash realize that "Yes, it's true.I am a murdering Monster." that dark, disturbing feeling of dread and isolation, realizing that you are an insane madman. Was a great episode that touched on a different kind of horror. I thought it was great, I thought more people would. Guess one mans treasure is another mans trash.

i loved it! I was excited to see how they would deal with the common "you're just crazy" trope, which has been in other horror/fantasy shows before, and I think they did it very well. They still had action and comedy, but it definitely had a darker tone to it. Glad to see that they're not afraid to change things up a little.

I thought the premise of the last episode would've made a great ending to the whole saga.
For him to be in an asylum and it of all been in his head would've been a great explanation to to the story. -

Same here, I thought the gritty feel made it seem like it could be in his head.
And when Kelly/Amanda killed the orderly and she spews her dragon demon delusion and it doesn't mesh with Ash's delusion it was like wow maybe he really is nuts.
Very well handled. -

I loved it. Sure it is a bit of a trope for a show like this to do - but I liked the creepy atmosphere, the flashbacks, the stellar acting and Ash was hilarious with the puppet. It was a great example of how to do horror with comedy to break the tension as opposed to doing a phony horror sitcom.
I don't know why a bunch of people seem to have hated it - Maybe not enough fart jokes and necrotic penises?
