Tbf, the whole concept of the show is lazy, just some nepo-nerds who decided to make a pastiche of every Stephen king and Steven Spielberg movie. I’m surprised Jar-Jar Abrams wasn’t involved.

I'm rewatching s4 just now and it's extremely messy.
Muddled narrative, repetitive plot loops and random sub plots that have little reward.
It's still a pretty fun show though.
