Young people are not as dumb and impressionable as you concern trolls like to think (hello, body positive movement). And honestly, Natalia Dyer is one of many skinny girls in this world. They're on TV screens and the cover of magazines and "thinspiration" blogs; they're in schools and nightclubs and offices. If somebody decides to starve themselves just because of one thin person, they were going to have a hard time in life anyway.

The media industry causes untold psychological damage and disordered eating habits for all who pay attention to their drivel.
People are not dumb and impressionable but subliminally influenced. Why? Because the human brain is incapable of distinguishing between reality and screen. It's true. If you have ever felt sad, angry, amused at a film/Tv show that is your brain reacting to what it thinks is reality.
Thinspiration is an awful cultural trend loved by Anorexic females. If you have ever seen one of these blogs, you will see page after page of skeletal women celebrated as inspiration. -

No, that is my brain deciding to emotionally invest in a good story ('suspension of disbelief'). When I watch Stranger Things I am aware of the actors portraying characters. That doesn't mean I can't feel sad, angry or amused. Sometimes fictional people will remind me of someone I know in real life, thus provoking an even stronger response. But I still know that what I'm watching or reading isn't real because I am neither a crazy person nor an unsupervised child.

I know what thinspiration is, that's why I brought it up. My point is Natalia Dyer cannot be held responsible for anyone's health but her own, unless she's pushing pro-ana propaganda in her spare time. Her health is
nobody else's
business.

No, it definitely is our business when a popular television show celebrates her character and her looks.
The actress has a problem. Just look at her IMDB page photos, in 2014 she was in a film that shows her near her normal weight. Contrast that with photos of her now.
She isn't pleasant too look at, because her obvious malnutrition is disturbing. Personally, it takes me out of the story.
Just look at how she is dressed on the show. Layers and layers of clothing to hide the fact that she is skin and bones. Believe me, at no point in 80s history did any teen wear as much clothing as this character. Not unless they had anorexia. -

Word. Most of the humans on this planet are pretty skinny. IMDB posters, maybe not so much.
