People picked up that it sounds John Carpenter'esq but here is the one that it sounds to directly homage. I figured it the first time I heard it.

I just learned today that John Carpenter was also a musician. That's fascinating.

Wanna Fight from Cliff Martinez sounds more like the Stranger Things theme.

I would if 'Big Trouble in Little China' wasn't the older score and probably the inspiration to both scores. I think the notes are the same between Wanna Fight and Stranger Things, but the sound is closer to Big Trouble in Little China.
