Any official word if she's returning for second season? She has to return, she's giving a Emmy worthy performance!

The show was supposed to be one season deal with hopes for another season as a remote possibility. Who knows what kind of contracts everyone signed.
I'm sure Ryder, Modine and Harbour are all trying to renegotiate payment terms.
If the pay is right, I'm sure they will be back. Especially Ryder, because she was the reason most people initially watched the show in the first place. -

You used 3 poor examples
Meryl is overrated. Early stuff was strong but the past 25 years have been mostly average at best
Ledger the pill popper had talent but him winning a Oscar for the joker was a sick joke
Jake is hit and miss. He can be cringe worthy at times

If you want to hate on an actor you find many reasons as long as you want to hate.
Meryl is not overrated at all. She had good performances in many recent movies like chronologically Devil Wears Prada (2006), Julia&Julia (2009), Its complicated (2009), Iron Lady (2011), Into the Woods(2014) and so on. I am not even counting the others. She is the perfect example of a decent actress.
Just because someone is pill popper does not negate their act. The point was listing good actors. If you are interested in their personal struggles go to TMZs website.
Lastly for Jake I am just going to say two movies among others: The Prisoners and Night crawler. That alone should make my point.
You are just oblivious as the op. Its easy and cool to think everybody sucks but it just makes you look like a cynic beep -

I said Jake was hit and miss. He does the same thing as Leo at times. He will try to hard in some scenes and go for Oscar bait. I agree he nailed Nightcrawler
Meryl is overrated because Hollywood would nominate her for watching paint dry. Not her fault but she's not this acting GOD.
Ledger was talented but so many people build him up because he died.

What makes you say that about Meryl? Can you actually recall her being nominated for a performance you felt was unworthy of a nomination? Kind of seems like you're just dissenting to feel edgy or something.
How do you know people aren't building him up for simply being a great actor? He was a great actor and people refer to him as such. Doesn't that make sense?
Don't call people "baby" and "cupcake" because they call you on your bs and disagree with you. It makes you look insecure and is just a very transparent move.

Jake has been cringeworthy in several movies for me. He's also been great in some movies. I'll say it again, hit and miss. What else can be said
You caught me. I don't bow down to Meryl skid marks because I want to be edgy. Yes I can. Most of her nominations for the past 25 years have been unworthy.
Ledger had talent but he's getting the James Dean treatment because he died young. He wasn't a all time great actor.

Ok, so name one. If you can, name some movies or scenes wherein he gave a cringe-worthy performance.
Are you calling her "skid marks" to showcase you irrational bias against her and invalidate your claim further? It seems unlikely that you would even sit through her movies let alone watch enough from the last 25 years to get a legitimate sense that "most" of her nominations were undeserved. Can you name just one performance she got nominated for that you felt was underserved?
What does the "James Dean treatment" entail and where do you see Ledger getting it? People seem to only really praise his performance as The Joker specifically as amazing acting because it was, but where are you seeing him get officially hailed as an "all time great" actor? Though it's valid for an individual to feel that way about his acting, I don't recall ever seeing him on any official list of greatest actors of all-time. He's just, in my experience, considered a great actor but he was that so isn't that fine?

I have nothing against Meryl, I already said she was great early in her career. Why is that so hard to understand?
I didn't bring Ledger up on the Stranger Things board as a example of great acting. He was fine but plenty of better actors.

??? Are you even comprehending your own posts? You claimed that none of Meryl's work from the last 25 years has been nomination-worthy. I'm asking you to give an example of a nominated performance of hers where you felt the nomination was undeserved.
No one here said he was the best actor ever. He, like the other 2 actors mentioned, was only being compared to Winona Ryder. Is your initial comment based in you not understanding this? He was at least as good as she is.
How are Gyllenhaal, Streep, or Ledger poor examples compared to Ryder? That's the real question. You've no backed up a single claim of yours yet.
