So SO MANY! The first, was Queen Mary summoning up the strength for that deep curtsy as her granddaughter succeeds the thrown upon her return from Kenya.

Her marvellous clarification for the nurse on the difference between the three queens. Wonderful.
Queen Mary of Teck is often portrayed as an Edwardian battleaxe but, from what I've read, she was quite actually quite human.
Excellent scene between her and her cousin in German about the Broadlands menu!

I agree with you about Queen Mary and her kneeling to the queen coupled with her reading her letter. The scene was so profound. Well done by the director and Dame Eileen June Atkins.

Agreed. The shot of QE2's face as the enormity of the situational washes over her was brilliant.

That first curtesy, and her face like grim death beneath that black veil. Eileen Atkins is a marvel.
The whole Kenya section, the servants , the treetops house
It was a toss-up whether I go in for diamonds or sing in the choir. The choir lost.

Churchill finally realizing he's old killed me. I felt so bad for him.

They both nailed that Pond scene. Pure magic. Lithgow was amazing as Churchill, and that particular scene was simply awesome.

One of my favorite scenes was near the end of Episode 9 where Elizabeth lays it all out for Phillip. All about how he was the only one she had ever loved, despite how it would have been easier for everyone if she had married Porchy.
"And could you honestly look me in the eye and say the same".
                                      Brilliantly acted!

Episode 1, when King George cried during his participation with the local carolers. It really showed his humanity.

I liked that one, too. Another one that I really loved was in the first episode when they all went out to the beach house in summer. The women all wore those beautiful full-skirted gowns, and were appointed so beautifully!
The whole show is well done, but that one scene was just kind of magical. I wish we were like that againwhen men wore hats and jackets, and women wore skirts and those little hats.

"Let's eat Granny!! Let's eat, Granny!!"
                                          Punctuation matters.
