I loved the scene in episode 2 that Elizabeth was reading the letter from the Queen Mary. I also enjoyed the scene with Elizabeth and Philip that she stood her ground in wanting him to bow for her.

Episode 7 when Elizabeth justifiably schools the parliamentarian (his name fails me) and Churchill for not informing her about the severity of the latter's condition.
Also, I'd say Margaret's response to Elizabeth's final decision not to support a marriage to Peter in the finale. One might have expected Margaret to shout at her sister or even throw things, but she was just so broken. Both actresses did a brilliant job here.

My favorites were the scenes with the Queen Mother in Scotland, the beautiful walks, the view from the Castle of Mey, and finally the realization of the Castle's owner why he thought her face was so familiar!

Final scene of episode 5 S1.
When the duke of Windsor after watch the queen coronation plays the bagpipe. The melody is very melancholic.
              Great show BTW

All the stuff with the Queen Mother in Scotland. Victoria Hamilton is wonderful and her friendship with the owner of the castle was lovely.
Prince Edward playing the bagpipes, it was set up brilliantly with the small comment that he plays them whenever he is homesick at the start of the episode. I genuinely didn't expect to see him with tears in his eyes.

I would say the singing scene after the King gets the paper crown as a gift. Very sad when he realizes he dying and nothing he can do about it. Great acting from Jared Harris.

The whole coronation scene gave me chills. Also when Elizabeth gives Churchill and that other fellow a good "dressing down like children"

The opening titles and music, brought me to a screeching halt as I was washing dishes. I had to replay it over and over. Yes, I'm recording!
I was expecting the wedding to be breathtaking..not so much but not much time was spent on it. The caroling scene caught me completely off guardastounding!
Like so many here, the buildup, especially the music, to the funereal scene between a grandmother and granddaughter was unbelievable. I'm telling you, I gasped out loud in those final seconds of that ep.
The coronation was spellbinding for this non-Brit. I had no idea that the connection between God and the monarch were so strong, traditionally speaking. It was "magical", as explained by Edward. I made hubs watch it with me, as he hates all British themed movies. (It's complicated!) He found the golden canopy scene equally fascination as I did.
And OH the Churchill scenes. What an actor!! The Queen's come to Jesus moment with him, had me near tears. Poor guy! I think she came into her own as Queen in this scene!?
So so many favs! Can you tell I love this series??!!!
