Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Nosferatu

There is nothing quite like a Robert Eggers movie these days. I love the look of his films. They're such a wonderful break from the bland look of most movies these days, and Nosferatu was no exception. Visually, it's probably his best looking movie. He took the classic noir look of the original Nosferatu and infused it with his own modern style. Every shot of this film is gorgeously presented in such vivid dark colors.
And the make-up on Count Orlok is amazing. He looks and moves around like a living plague. It's such a change of pace to not have the pretty boy vampire cliche for a change.
So many stories, so little time.
