OK, so the plan was to win Chris' trust and then use his body which means that Chris would have disappeared without explanation. But Rose had been dating him for months so obviously she would have met his friends and possibly family members. He also would have had pictures of her and almost definitely would have been posting about her on social media. Ditto for other men Rose had lured to her parent's house. Once police started investigating, she would be the obvious link and main suspect in the disappearances. so how did Rose avoid suspicion and keep the cops off her scent?

If the police ever did investigate the missing person could be produced so it shouldn't be a problem. The person inside the missing person could explain that they decided to drop their old life for a new one and what would the police do? They wouldn't suspect their body was hijacked by another person. As to why that never happened, I don't know. Most likely the filmmakers never thought of it. Were all of the people reported as missing? If so then you are surely correct that one of the first people they would want to talk to would be the girlfriend and they would notice that her boyfriends keep going missing.

— 7 years ago(September 09, 2018 12:27 AM)Remember the beginning when Rose and Chris interacted with the police officer? The policeman asked Chris for his ID. We may infer the cop was racists here, as Rose plays hero and shuts the cop down. But in actuality, the cop was trying to help Chris: he knew black men went missing around that area and wanted to identify Chris incase that happened to him.
The main reason the black men weren't yet found is a rich, white powerful family would be the last type any one would suspect as the culprits. And more, you saw how many rich people were a the party to bid on Chris: many were government officials, politicians, and high-ranking officers themselves - the family had other powerful people in the game with them.
I am addicted to you; I have tasted your mind, and I cannot forgo its flavor. -

True but given social media and Rose's tactics, her connection with the missing people would be obvious. Also, once the cops found out where the missing people went, even if they bought the story that they were just trying to start a new life, surely the cops would tell other family members which would bring them out to the Armitage home where they would see how different their former loved ones acted. At the very least, they would suspect some kind of mind-controlling cult which, as more people became missing, would start becoming more known to people around and would eventually become news. I don't know how the truth would not come out to the world at some point.

That's actually an interesting way to look at it.
Though I'm not entirely sure if the missing black people were from that particular area. Chris certainly wasn't from there, and I don't think Andre was either.
So many stories, so little time. -

A separate but related question - what happens to the bodies of the "brain donors"? The blind guy was obviously a prominent art dealer (Chris recognises his name when he introduces himself), so his "disappearance" would require a public explanation. Does Dr Armitage arrange a fake death certificate, or something like that?

That's probably the best explanation. Heck, they can probably forge an autopsy exam to explain the cranial surgery.
So many stories, so little time.
