Straight up racist.

That is a rather foolish comment seeing that most of the killers are white.
How do you know that thought? Have you seen the movie? Based on the trailer his girlfriend is white, what if she's not a killer? What if some of the black people are killers?
Besides, based on that logic a movie like Blade is racist because the hero is black and all the evil vampires are mostly white. Or what about The Equalizer? It's about Denzel Washington fighting a bunch of white mobsters.
So it kind of balances out now doesn't it except it can be looked upon as being comfortable with making white males evil when those characters are developed.
You say "making white males evil" even though Catherine Keener appears to be the central villain displayed in the trailers. I also find it amazing that this whole "making white makes evil" spiel only comes up when the hero isn't also white. Jason Bourne, James Bond, or John McClane can kill hundreds of evil white villains and no one accuses those movies of being anti-white.
But, again, seeing that this is a horror film, there have been literally thousands of horror films where a white guy kills a bunch of people and no one accuses those films of making white males evil. Leatherface, Jason Voorhees, Freddy Kruger, Pinhead, Jigsaw, The Tall Man, Damien, Chucky, Ghostface (most of the time) all white dudes, all killers, no complaints.
But one movie has a black guy seemingly being attacked by a few white people and it's suddenly a problem. Snowflake much?
This is just personal preference as nobody would be opposed to it. Has nothing to do with a negative agenda unlike the movie 'Get Out'.
That's like your opinion man. You say "no one would be opposed to it" yet if the evil ghost haunting the black neighborhood were white you'd most certainly oppose it.
I'm amazed you think you can just call anything "a different perspective" and pretend that just dismantles my argument lol.
But it does, and I proved it. You're demanding a safe space to protect you from this movie SPECIFICALLY because it focuses on the fear some black people have being minorities in cultural situations. If the black guy were a white guy being creeped out by the same white people you wouldn't have bothered commenting about it.
Triggered is what brain dead liberal snowflakes do with silly things not worth the effort like calling someone by the wrong pronoun lol.
Brain dead liberals aren't the only snowflakes that get triggered. Any conversation about race, women's rights, atheism, evolution, climate change, or gay marriage tends to trigger conservative snowflakes pretty quickly in my experience.
Anti-white male is a constant theme in regular TV shows (Dear White People), advertisings (The dumb husband), movies (The Purge, Get Out) and politics (affirmative action) that is not done to any other race and if there were, then plenty of cucks would be calling it out. There's a double standard there and to just sit back and not mention it, would be plain foolish.
My God you literally just made my snowflake argument for me. That's like a handful of movies and TV shows you're whining about while in contrast there are literally thousands of movies and TV shows being made where a white hetero male is the special hero who saves the world. Do you not see how much of a whiny bitch people like you sound like?
For every "anti white male" movie or TV show you named I can literally name 20 or more that's "pro" white male. We are swimming in pro white male fiction, and the handful of times we are given a different main character you guys whine like the snowflakes you are. People like you are why IMDb is shutting down their boards.

I wasted too much time on this debate last night, and now this morning. I lost my response twice now which is pi$$ing me off!!!! I'm going to try this one more time but cut it down a lot.
Your first question is you not understanding my response, as I was not responding to this movie but 99 percent of the horror movies you said were out there with a white victim and I said the male white killers erase your argument on whites always being the victim.
Besides, based on that logic a movie like Blade is racist because the hero is black and all the evil vampires are mostly white. Or what about The Equalizer? It's about Denzel Washington fighting a bunch of white mobsters.
Blade may very well have been a movie that portrays a Black hero among white killers. A slow brainwashing of Hollywood.
Equalizer is dealing with the Russian mafia. That makes the story believable. Let's just hope if there is a part 2 he's fighting more blacks or it will begin to look suspect where they demand lots of minorities and women in their movies, but they only take the most heroic and empowered of roles. You see, in a world where all of this nonsense wasn't being forced on the viewer, with a society out there who's constantly blaming the 'white man' for the evils in the world, I could care less how many whites are evil. But it's the double standard that I'm calling out which sort of reveals their true nature.
Most of those creations were made prior to those who are crying today about diversity in the roles and with a very visible attack on the white man in society. Totally different era.
But one movie has a black guy seemingly being attacked by a few white people and it's suddenly a problem. Snowflake much?
This merely shows how out of touch with reality you are. The black guy seems to be attacked by only whites (one Asian man tossed in there to hide their true intent) who seem to be collecting only blacks. Reverse this around and tell me this wouldn't cause an uproar in the black community lol. If what I say is true about this particular movie, then the intent is as plain as day. Similar to The Purge with the white only elites taking down the poor minorities. And these are only a year a part. Then you have Netflix with their racist show called 'Dear White People'. If it went both ways, and films did this all of the time, there wouldnt be a problem. That's not called being a snowflake. It's called bringing attention to a double standard and a drive of late to damage the white man's reputation. Look at laughable MTV and it's blatant talking down to white males lol. They did it again with White Guy Resolution 2017. NOWHERE ELSE in the mainstream, do you find anything like this against blacks. The only reason why it's getting the negative attention it deserves, is because people . white males in general, finally had enough. They have a couple campuses for blacks only. This was just in the past year or two. You have the massive immigration flux of mostly non whites only into the western world because of the 'Diversity is our Strenght" lie. Say it enough times, and people will believe it. It's an intent to destroy any remains of the European culture as quickly as they can. Unification works, not diversity. And if it were slow and gradual, with an equal number of European immigrants, then there wouldn't be an issue.
That's like your opinion man. You say "no one would be opposed to it" yet if the evil ghost haunting the black neighborhood were white you'd most certainly oppose it.
In today's world, then yes, it would be suspect.
But it does, and I proved it. You're demanding a safe space to protect you from this movie SPECIFICALLY because it focuses on the fear some black people have being minorities in cultural situations. If the black guy were a white guy being creeped out by the same white people you wouldn't have bothered commenting about it.
lol love how you're using all of the words directed at pussy liberals, now at me here as a way to pretend it strenghtens your argument. You're naive, I get it. And you didn't prove there is no double standard going on at all. Double standards typically are there because of a hidden agenda. And if the black guy were a white guy being creeped out by white people, then it took out the racial factor. One would have to be completely blind, not to see the message being sent here as it seems you are.
Brain dead liberals aren't the only snowflakes that get triggered. Any conversation about race, women's rights, atheism, evolution, climate change, or gay marriage tends to trigger conservative snowflakes pretty quickly in my experience.

Yeah, I give up. You're not actually interested in understanding why, you just want to be a victim because you've seen women and minorities complain and now this is your chance to stomp your feet and cry wolf just like the liberal crybabies you claim to hate which just confirms my belief that both groups like to whine equally.
Also I notice you rated Get Out already even though it's not out yet so surely you can tell me if all the white characters are in fact evil or if some of them are actually good guys.

Actually, even if you had responded, I wouldn't have put any more effort into it and responded either. You mentioned they were eliminating the message board and I had no clue till I read it yesterday so why waste my time when it's going to be stopped in a week and everything deleted a couple weeks after that. I did notice you suggesting that those like me are the reason they wish to close the boards up and if that is the reason, then they really are nothing but a bunch of snowflakes. You as well seeing you think that my opinion on this is what makes you bunch feel so down where it's enough to get rid of it lol. Spamming is one thing but guys like me calling out a double standard using my own opinion is completely different.
BTW, here's a critic from 'Aint It Cool News' who says this about the film. Sounds like this is EXACTLY the director's intent. Make the white man feel ashamed of himself while blacks still play that victim card.
"Im not quite sure anyone will be prepared for how
he dives headfirst into the deep waters of racism in America
, told through a story that makes it quite clear that, while racism might seem more at bay than ever before (Im talking about the pre-President Trump era in which the film was conceived and made),
the real fear amongst African-Americans is the white people are just better at hiding it.
"
And think about it. If it's a small community of posters who continue to post here despite the negative comments, we obviously don't care. Nah, they're your typical cucks who perhaps don't want the poor actors or studios getting hurt feelings over members ripping their acting or films apart. Because after-all, feelings come first than actual discussion you know if it's not all smiles and laughter. Look at youtube. Those wimps even got rid of the thumbs down a few years back lol. Just pathetic.
Also I notice you rated Get Out already even though it's not out yet so surely you can tell me if all the white characters are in fact evil or if some of them are actually good guys.
Didn't even realize I did that but no, never saw it. Last one I saw was Rings, and that was last night. 'Get Out' is in theatres here on the 24th. -

I know, huh? Look at all those blacks who lynched white people over the course of the past century!!!!
lol except we're talking about today's blacks you imbecile. How many in the past 40 years have been lynched? Then tell me how many blacks have killed whites in that same span. -

Ignorance is bliss - "The race of the child is the race of the mother." Not true. A rule created by the white south and placed into law by many governments in the south -city, and states said, if a person is 1 part black that person is of African descent. Which the terms Quadroon, Octoroon and may others came from. While those laws are not federally binding today, this country continues to look at a person with African blood as black. Especially if the persons black parent is a parent or grandparent. Mother or dad, they are black.

To play devil's advocate here, it seems that most mixed race people tend to identify as the minority race as well. Look at Barak Obama for instance. His mother's white, but he identifies, by his own words, as African American.

From observation, it seems that even though Peele is biracial, he obviously identifies more with being black versus white. Kind of ironic, since he most likely benefitted from "white privilege" growing up in Manhattan.

Jordan Peele is half white, and was raised very white suburban. It's just a film, don't get your panties in A bunch.
His race is irrelevant. Doesn't detract from the fact that the movie is racist. It depicts white (only) people as crazy psychopaths who hunt down blacks (only). That'sracist. -

How do you know? I haven't looked at the trailer in a while, but it seemed to me at the time that there was probably more to it than that.
People get so worked up about this stuff and never consider that maybe the movie is actually about all the things they're freaking out over. It seemed to me that this was about a black character that goes into a situation that he was already paranoid about due to his racial assumptions about other people's racial assumptions.
Seemed like a pretty thoughtful premise on sort of complex issues actually. Naturally all of the responses have to be thoughtless cries of 'racist!' from all sides. -
lazarillo — 9 years ago(January 01, 2017 10:43 PM)
Wow! What a dumbass thread. Just because white people are the villains OR black people are the villains does not make something "racist". "Candyman", for instance, isn't considered racist because it has a black villain menacing a white protagonist. Also, if you're going to complain about black people playing the "race card", maybe you shouldn't turn around and play it YOURSELF. The last thing we need is WHITE PC police.
Finally, how in the hell is someone half black, not black? Barack Obama's mother was white, so is he not black? If people treat you like you're black, then I think you qualify as black. Look up the people called "octoons" in the antebellum South. They were considered black and subjected to racism. Racists have at least as much problem with someone who is "mixed race" as they do with someone who is black.
When it comes to being "racist" a movie like this is rubber and touchy white whiners like the OP are glue, and you know what that means. . .

Night of the Living Dead was not intended to address racism in America. George A. Romero stated that the actor was cast because he was the best for the role and it was not specifically written for a black actor. It became a statement about racism due to the timing of it's release. He even said when he finished the film and was driving to find a cinema to show it, he found out that Martin Luther King was assassinated over the radio.
