Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life

Seriously, I do. Every time I think of it, my heart grows so very heavy. I don't think of the joyful times like I did before when I thought of the show. The sadness that overwhelmed the themes of the revival have really hit home for me and I feel sad now.
    Anyone else?

I feel sad too, but for different reasons. See, it's like an addiction. I managed to wean off of the drug that was Gilmore Girls when it wasn't on anymore. Then to have 4x90minute episodes was like pulling us back, drugging us up, and then leaving us hanging. Is it over? Are they gonna do more? Why do this in the first place? The four words couldn't be that important that Amy just had to make this to add those! Come on!
I liked the revival. Well, let's say didn't hate it. The problem I had with it is the same one I had with the show : It should have been about Lorelai and Rory, more than anything. Except, it was about Rory and Logan and Lorelai and Luke. It was about those musicals that dragged on and on. It was about Kirk's stupid businesses. I can only handle small increments of Kirk.
It should have been all about Lorelai and Rory.

I really do too. I used to watch GG episodes on my lunch break but I've since stopped. It doesn't bring me joy like it used to. Now that i know how things turned out, it leaves a bitter taste (for me) on the previous seasons.

Exactly, I feel the same way. The Revival was quite bad. I just don't like what the writers did to Rory. It's not my personal taste. I have seen the Revival once, haven't watched it a second time since it was released. I doubt I will and at this point, I'm like you, the earlier seasons don't have the same appeal anymore. It's totally ruined. Which is a shame, but oh well

It wasn't bad though you beep beep They gave you exactly what you wanted and you bitched and moaned like the beep head you are.
