Was anyone else disappointed? I dont know why this thing was such a musical and not a good musical at that! It went on and on and on. The music scenes were lame and scattered. Kirk was, as usual, given way to much time; whereas we see characters like Mrs Kim and Dean only once in the whole 4 episodes. Mrs Kim was a really funny character and they needed her.
The Death Brigrade with Logan was beyond odd and they were given more screen time than she was given with Lane and those two were best friends. THey have turned Rory into a mistress who tells her mom she had a one night stand with a Wookie. This wasnt the Rory we knew. Sure she grew up and is 32 now but still she changed personalities completely. The old Rory wouldnt have played second fiddle to Logan while also knowingly being the other woman. The old Rory had conscience.
Seeing everyone was nice. Seems everyone lost weight. Lorelai seemed to have had botox in her face or something and didnt look the same. Luke obviously had a toupee on and it was a different color than his real hair. The town hall meetings that they had- just werent the same either as they used to have witty banter and pot shots at Taylor, not to mention the obviously missing from the meetings, Miss Patty. All those new people in there; they should have been in the back of the room and the regulars should have been all sitting together and doing most of the talking. It was scattered. I still dont understand the reason for the air conditioning unit being so loud. The musicals though is mainly what ruined this revivial. Way too long. Way too many. Made no sense either.
