The one thing that annoyed me most that not a lot of people seem to talk about is their chemistry.
(The musical numbers were awful, but I skipped through them, so!)
I mean I know Alexis is not a great actress, she never was but why so,

? She was fine with other people, especially with Matt and Jared and Milo (him the most!). Not to mention in interviews that I've seen of them, they are fine. Nothing seems to be going on between them. Alexis is not really as shy as she used to be, and I'm guessing she's a lot less like Rory now (that they've basically ruined the character) but still, she felt wrong for Rory.
Which is strange. Cause no other person on the planet could ever be Rory to me and most of the fans. Something was just not right. Maybe it's because I'm so used to seeing Rory and as a kid? Or maybe it's because she's still childish and I was expecting to see a mature woman? Maybe it's the fact that we really didn't get to see that much of Lorelai and Rory together, or even on their own, really! Honestly, they had like 5 scenes together in the entire revival. What's up with that?
The only time I felt their chemistry was at the Hotel after Rory slept with the guy in the wookie costume. -

I think a lot of it was how separate they were the entire time or surrounded by others. I agree, it wasn't until the NY/hotel scene I really felt that old magic of just the 2 of them. Their other scenes were all 'muddled' imo.
