I'd rather be raised by a 16-year old Lorelai than a 32-year old Rory. She has absolutely no clue how the world works.

I absolutely agree! And seriously Rory turned down money from Christopher?! She has no job and no place of her own! How is she going to afford a child?! It was obvious she knew she was pregnant during that conversation with Chris, so why not accept the money!

That's not fair to say cause you already know how it worked out with Lorelai's story raising Rory. You have to let Rory do it first and check back in 20 years. Lorelai left home with a baby at 16. Still doesn't sound very good. She got lucky landing in SH and meeting all the people who helped her.

I agree. And she's not maternal. Never was.
Seriously, can you picture Rory with an infant, breastfeeding, etc..? By herself? With the father there, sure I guess. But on her own? Lorelai is the opposite, she was even a surrogate mom for Lane and Paris, at times. Rory is not like that at all. This baby doesn't stand a chance. Poor thing -

I don't think Rory would be a bad mom, I just don't think she's capable of being the type of mom her mother was. Rory grew up with a support system that her mother didn't have. Rory would need a partner in parenting.

She wouldn't be a bad mom in the sense that she would feed the child and send it to expensive schools. But emotionally she can't be a mom. She's too self involved.
History won't repeat itself. This story won't end well. Unless Lorelai and Luke raise the kid, it's a lost cause.
