I'm very familiar with the term. Mestizo doesn't just mean mixed, that word is mezclado/a…It implies a person is half European and half indigenous. Less than 20% native does not make someone mestiza.

It's an educated guess. I know native features, I know what southern European features look like, and I know what different levels of admixture typically result in. My Guess would be she has 20% or less non-European ancestry.
