Michael Edwards, the guy who played older John Conner in T2.
Look how gracefully this guy had aged, unlike Furlong, Beihn, and Patrick. And he's considerably older than all of them. He was already older in T2, and he still looks good today. Look at that head of hair.
That means around 2003-2006ish, he would have been ideal for the role of John Conner physically. He could've fit in Salvation and Genesys, easily.
He has that macho-soldier ruggedness while still being attractive enough.

Edwards was a live-in boyfriend of Priscilla Presley from 1978 to 1984. After they broke up, he wrote a book entitled Priscilla, Elvis and Me (ISBN 0312022689).[1] The book title is a parody of Presley's own memoir, Elvis and Me
I asked her if she liked it.
