I mean, can she still play *the* Sarah Connor?

Smoking has taken its toll on her physically (she's only a few years older than Tom Cruise), but in a way that adds to her character as Sarah Conner. She had to deal the stress of losing a son and fighting terminators ever since the events of T2. And living off the grid, presumably. She had a rough life.
I'm surprised she didn't become a superstar after Terminator 2. She gave an Oscar-worthy performance in that movie; she had every chance to be the next Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts, but it didn't work out that way for her. She dropped from the limelight.
My guess is that she took this role because, as she was enjoying semi-retirement, this was her chance to get a last big hunk of change that will put her in a comfortable position for her the rest of her life. She'd never have the chance to be cast in a big budget film of this caliber at her age aside from this, and was cast due to her incumbency with the franchise, so she'd be crazy not to take it.

She definitely has the acting chops, but she's
62 years old!
She would have to playing the
older
Sarah Connor.

Now,
She would have to playing [β¦]
I suppose you know English isn't my first language so feel free to grammar-Nazi me on this one. Is this grammatically correct?

Actually it is. I could have also said "She would have to playβ¦." Both are correct. And I never mind someone correcting my grammar, if it's incorrect. I love to learn.
BTW, no offense, but I don't like the term
"nazi"
applied to anyone or anything, except for
the real Nazis
in Germany in the 30's and 40's. When you apply that word elsewhere, it
trivializes
the Nazis and all of their
horrible crimes
against mankind, imho.
Unfortunately, that word is misused by SO many people!
PS Your English is
excellent!
What is your first language, if I may be so bold as to ask?
PPS My late father
fought against them
in Italy in WW II. He was wounded by shrapnel at Anzio, Italy, and received a purple heart.

I genuinely don't take offense as I also embrace all new knowledge. I'm like an android in that regard.
My first language is Portuguese.

So androids embrace all knowledge?
Do you live in Portugal?
(I'm just full of questions tonight.)

Cool!!
A fascinating country. I visited there in 2016, along with Peru
and a tiny bit of Argentina by the Iguazu Falls.
