It was **** cause Cage played it for laughs instead of playing it straight.

I enjoyed it. Dark, trippy, brutal.
My only complaints are that it was a little slow to ramp up and the story overall wasn't executed as well as I'd hoped. I love the visual style and the world the director created. Cage fighting the demon biker gang was definitely the funnest part for me.
Would watch again.

The slow start really seemed to be made for the benefit of people tripping on acid, like a lot of the movie
So good, though. The whole movie was like the cover of an 80's heavy metal record.

Haha, exactly. That's the biggest part of what drew me to it. I'm love all the retro, stylized, 80's ****. This definitely had a throwback feel to it.
I'd like to see this director try his hand at the Evil Dead franchise.
