There are many cases where I have known doctors to be wrong.
For the most part I do not trust them and a lot of them are in it just for the money.
That is why they say to get a second, or maybe even a third, opinion if it is not emergency surgery.

The radiation would either cause a third testicle to grow or for the balls to fall off.Either way, it's a modern mental illness just like body mutilation. I'm down with a few classy small tattoos on a lady, but **** is getting out of hand these days.

I haven't watched the cable news channels much lately, but I was watching them more often in 2020, and CNN put the "breaking news" tag on stories they had already covered. Sometimes a story would be hours old and they'd still call it breaking news.
I also remember that after RBG died, the scrolling message on the bottom of the screen (on CNN) was in red, which I had never seen before. -

I can see arguments for both sides.
I don't care if someone wants to have the surgery. If it makes them happy and they can function. I wonder if the perceived mental illness diminishes after they've had the surgery.
