This new series feels like a Gene series. And I'm willing to watch past Trek series and episodes to understand the messaging better.
Yeah, this show feels so incredibly "Star Trek". It's wearing it's love of the franchise and it's legacy on it's sleeve. I think Tawney Newsome (who loves Star Trek) being in the writer's room doesn't hurt

These lifelong fans were wrong about Star Trek for 50 years and it's only recently that liberals are showing us the true meaning of Star Trek? Woke DEI is the message of Star Trek?
