So we're three episodes in and this show is really shaping up to be something special. The cast is great and have great chemistry with one another. Holly Hunter is downright terrific in the lead role. She plays the role of the older 400 year old mentor who has seen it all to the hilt. No surprise there. Oscar winner gives great performance/water is wet.
It's great seeing the Doctor and Jett Reno back. They are fantastic characters.
This show has the raw potential to be the best Star Trek series since Deep Space Nine. Will it? Too soon to say, but the potential is there.

I'm enjoying this series, too! Intelligent, edgy, great cast, optimistic, good execution.
Some things I don't understand because I never watched Discovery and bailed on DS9 by the 3rd season. Now, I plan to completely watch both series.
Rumor has it this series will have only 2 seasons. I hope they change their mind. -

It got an automatic green light for two seasons, so season 2 Is guaranteed but it hasn't officially been picked up for year 3 yet, but it also hasn't been cancelled. The show is being extremely well received. The early numbers show it's performing better than Strange New Worlds or Picard, so I think it's a shoe in for renewal. Especially considering that Star Trek and Taylor Sheridan shows are the biggest draws on Paramount+ and Taylor Sheridan recently left so they are going to need to lean into Star Trek to retain viewers.

Sorry about that. Holly Hunter stars in a Star Trek spin-off? She must look really old these days. Where can I watch this?
It's on Paramount Plus.
Holly Hunter is so damn good on the show too! She's 67 now and frankly, she still looks great
