Way better than TWD!

I've just started watching it, so I'm still undecided about it. I'll render a verdict when I'm done.

Faster pace?
After watching 3-4 episodes of idiots apparently running around the same city trying to get to this elusive "stadium" and getting nowhere, I gave up.
Watching 30 minutes of some fat idiot running from one zombie and never seeming to be able to shake him was absolutely ridiculous waste of time. The entire show is filler.
None of the characters were even likable or interesting.
It's painfully obvious this should have been shortened to a 1.5 hour movie.
Flawless victory. Another one for the good guys. -

Well everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

I thought the plot moved forward quite quickly. The zombies are a faster moving more aggressive type. Yes it took the whole season (8episodes)
to get to their destination
but that seemed realistic due to foot travel and the need to periodically take shelter.
As for as the characters go…I find the lack of forced backstory to be refreshing. I found the soap opera approach used on TWD to be tedious and the makings for true episode filler.
LOL at Lance!(fat guy running) he became the only comic relief on the show. Had you stuck around you could have been treated to (most likely unintended) comedy gold! The guy is a dunce that gets chased more than Benny Hill

Finished this last night. Loved it!
Faster pace…great use of lower budget…more believable characters!
No idea why it carries such a low score on IMDB?
Sooooooooooooo, I just watched the very first episode and I like it.
It's not
"better"
than TWD, it's different though the basic plot is similar.
Black Summer
feels more realistic, as far as zombies can be realistic.
