Is it Bele?
His colouring would seem to indicate that he's part of those Cheron peoples (Black on the right side of his face and white on the left)
But they are all dead!?
Only he and Lokai were still alive at the end of the episode 'Let That Be Your Last Battlefield' and he's the only one with that colouring.
Why would Bele be hanging around with Mameha Wang in a trendy Slusho joint in space?
Unless Kurtzman is just taking his final poop on the whole thing as he's not got the balls to ask any Trek fan what's going on. That does seem to be the obvious out here
This is why there are 4 distinct groups naturally formed in schools; the jocks, the arty types, the academics and the nerds
He's an arty type (And not very good at it either) and he's tried to muscle in (Also not very gifted there) on a financially lucrative (Thanks for noticing academic types) franchise based on nerd mythology (And who's going to stand up for them?)
These fair-weather 'geek' types who think that they can have a say in everything are Jacks of all and aces of none.
But I'll eat my hat if this is Bele. It'll still be **** but at least the basics would have been done by that bloated research and developemnt team of DEI hires.

Funny how for being set 30 years before TNG you don't see any Excelsior class starships in the trailer

There's lots of things which came after the 2009 'revamp' that don't make sense WW.
It's not like there was a shortage of people willing to consult on Trek and there would always be a backlash regardless of the choices made as that's just Trekdom for you
But when their little toys and special editions weren't being bought there was no more hiding the viewing figures. Once the Dead Internet got rumbled that 'modern audience' disappeared like shadows when the lights go up.
Now the jocks want to bash his head in for upsetting those under their ward, the academics are wondering how could he **** up free money, the arty types have completely ostracised everyone involved with it and the geeks are vindicated
Sucks being Kurtmans as he may very well be rich, but nobody worth knowing will share a drink with him

Well you all enjoy, I shall not be watching it. They had a choice…the guy who did Picard season 3 or stick with these guys. They went with these guys, so I’m out.

I didn't see Picard season 3 (or 2!)
And I didn't watch Discovery after series 2 either
But I will watch this. This will be his grand

Picard season 3 felt like proper Star Trek and one last season of Next Generation. Seasons 1 and 2 of Picard were done by these other guys and were just rubbish for babies.
At the end of Picard season 3, they had a choice…a new show with Seven of Nine, Ruffles and Picard’s son Fred Crusher done by that new guy Terry Taylor OR a show about Section 31 with all that Michael Burnham crap and we now know what they went with don’t we…
