Did it piss you off they delayed the release?

When I heard they delayed it I understood it was because of the writer's strike but it ended shortly after they said it was delayed…why push it out a year it was in the can ready to go once the strike was over they could have resumed business as usual.

They were lying about the writer's strike.
The real reason is that the last M:I was,
surprisingly, a box office disappointment. Movies overall were still weak from Covid. It got overshadowed by Barbie and lost in the shuffle.
In addition to making less than they hoped for, it cost a lot more to make than they planned because of production delays.
They pushed pt. 2 back, waiting for a more opportune time.
