While it really seems like only a small fraction of Native Americans had a problem with the name, I think the Indians were due to change their name. Indian is such an antiquated name for Native Americans anyway.
I would’ve preferred Rockers, Rollers, Foresters, Buckeyes, or even Lakers, but Guardians is fine. Gets a 7/10 from me. Could always shorten the name to G’s. Cleveland G’s has a nice ring to it.

The Indians call themselves Indians so I am OK with that. Just not for a sports team.
This is one of those usual cases where guilt ridden, PC white liberal Nazis are dictating to the rest of us on what to call a race that doesn't really care what they are called.
