Why are a majority of Americans refusing the vaccine?

The US have been throwing vaccines in the garbage or selling them to other countries because it's been hovering at 30 something percent for over a month and it's obvious those who didn't get a vaccine already I probably not just going to change their mind overnight.

Everything having to do with corona is highly politicized. Also, the vaccine was expedited so safety is questionable.
I’ve had both Pfizer vaccines. Because the virus is novel, it can be tough on the body and extremely disruptive to your life to get it. Looking back at my symptoms, I might had delayed getting it in retrospect.

Nope. It's
almost exclusively
the Left. They've politicized almost
everything
: the NFL, the NBA, MLB and pretty much everything else! They
suck!

I never felt sick. I felt very tired, bad spouts of brain fog, and some joint pain for about a week. Symptoms were extremely manageable.
Get it. Once it’s no longer novel to the body the experience will be much better if you get sick or when you get booster shots.

And one may well just catch Covid naturally and then undergo similar symptoms and build up a natural immunity to what is novel.
This vaccine thing has been hyped beyond all reasonable common sense, along with the Covid hysteria to go with it. Politicizing it worldwide has created more understandable backlash due to its handling.
The desired result was a fallacy along.

I had no symptoms after being vaccinated. I know people who had Covid and it's not something you'd want to go through

There is not a lot of Covid around in Australia, so I don't know of anyone personally.
From reports read, some have said Covid meh! Others have had more severe symptoms. Other health issues and age demographic would play a part too and this would likely affect them similar with any corona type virus. I just see it as many factors need be entered into the equation.
Family members in the UK have had it, but they are aged and a second cousin of mine who ended up hospitalized, has several other serious health issues which exacerbated everything.

Oz must have locked down at the start like New Zealand and didn't have it as bad like others

My aunt and step sister had it and recovered. My cousin got infected and died but he had other health issues like your second cousin

My cousin was very lucky and she lives alone. She's been on heart pills since lord knows when and over-weight, but she is a strong and kind lady.
Oz has more reported cases than NZ, having a population about 5 times more, but neither have been rampant, yet they still make a big fuss over a few cases, even with supposed effective contact tracing systems in place and then end up with egg on their face with a few cases then detected in govt quarantine facilities that get out.
Each state deals with things different too and many politicians are grandstanding off it.
