Vaccine Passports

How worthless is your life that you have to come to an anonymous message board to shout and scream at people? A real man would find somebody to fuck and/or take up martial arts, if he had that much rage coursing through his body. I hope for your sake you're a woman who only visits this place once a month to unload her pre-menstral tension. I could admire that.
I bet you're "anti-hate", right?
Being comfortable with hypocrisy appears to be a fundamental requirement of being a left wing thinker.
You make it sound like Ebola is on the streets. This is the flu. Flus have been around throughout human history. You should get some perspective.
If the vaccine is so effective, why should the vaccinated care that I am unvaccinated?
The simple truth is, if the virus was so severe that its danger outweighed the risk of the vaccine, people would get vaccinated. Coming up with manipulative ways to force everyone to have it looks manipulative… I might have taken the vaccine if I wasn't being threatened to do so.
Vaccine passports take away people's right to make their own risk assessment about their own life.
It's a privacy issue - nobody should have to know who you are when you go out shopping, or to a bar - but more importantly, it's an affront to liberty, and takes away our right to decide what happens to our own bodies.

This little flu has already killed over half a million people dipshit. How severe do you want us to let it get before we do something? If it wasn't for the 50% of us being responsible we would already be up **** creek. Viruses Mutate! The more people that have it the more it mutates. For **** sakes take a science course.
"Muh rights! Muh rights! Muh rights!"

Like I said, you love your slavery. You'd rather be safe than free.
Let's say everyone in the US gets the vaccine. No mutations happen here.
However, somebody from Asia flies in with a mutation that developed in Indonesia. What then?
Let's say somebody walks through Central America and picks up a mutation there before swimming the Rio Grande. What then?
Are you advocating we close the borders forever? I could respect your intellect more if you said you were. You can't take that position though, because "racist". You see where your logic takes you?
Stop buying their nonsense. Start thinking with your head instead of your heart.

I agree with you on principle, but the COVID vaccine is different in that it was rushed, does not have any studies whatsoever done on any long-term side effects or even on long-term efficacy, and is thus unpredictable in ways that rightfully make people wary.
Refusing to get the COVID vaccine is not the same as being patently stupid enough to refuse a well-documented vaccine that is proven to work with little-to-no risk (either short-term or long-term) to the person receiving it.
I have gotten the first dose of the vaccine and will be getting the second soon, so I'm not speaking on behalf of those who refuse to get it, and wouldn't presume to do so. I just understand the desire to hold out on a brand new vaccine that has yet to even be approved by the FDA (outside, obviously, of authorization for emergency use).
Requiring vaccine passports for international travel or for concerts is one thing, as such isn't usually necessary, but requiring them for something as simple as going to the store or to the doctor seems ethically dubious.

I don't think they should be required everywhere. Just places like bars and certain events. The anti-mask crowd wanted people to stay home if they were afraid of catching the virus during the shutdowns. I think it's time they stayed home if they are afraid of the vaccine now that we want to open things up. fair is fair.

What bizarre logic. If people are afraid of the vaccine, the only thing they need to avoid is the syringe. If people are afraid of a virus that 99% of the population do not actually suffer from, they're the ones who need to adjust their lives.

"Science" tells us that we'll never eradicate the virus and we certainly won't stop it mutating. It landed here in a day having been spawned in a far away land. Globalization renders your logic obsolete.
"Science" tells us that we have no data on long-term side effects, therefore, the vaccine is still a high risk.
You have to explain to people like me why I should put an untested substance in my arm to stop myself getting the flu, and you have to explain to me why me being protected is such an issue for you, if you're so convinced you'd be protected.
I imagine you're not advocating all foreign travel ceases, right? So you're not really all that committed to fighting the virus. You just enjoy the idea of authoritarianism. Like I said, subconsciously, you enjoy the idea of slavery. It would remove the stress of being responsible for yourself.

No, scientists tell us the vaccine is safe in the immediate-term. COVID hasn't been around long enough for us to understand what the long term issues of the vaccine may be.

I'm not scared, hence why I won't be having the vaccine.
How should I get food etc, if I don't have a certificate/passport?
See how your logic fails you time and again?

You are afraid of getting the vaccine. Grow some balls. And the passports would only be for places where people are in close contact for extended periods of time, like concerts, movies. plane trips, etc. not grocery stores.

I'm not afraid of it. I'm refusing to take it because I know that it's a higher risk for me that COVID. If the virus was a threat, I'd opt for the vaccine and live with the long term risk.
You're afraid of a virus that's so impotent it kills almost nobody.
Grow some balls.
When a person who's chosen slavery over freedom tells me to grow some balls, I laugh discreetly and leave them in the pitiful state I found them. You cannot emancipate those who do not want to be free.

You know the populations of the US and the rest of the globe? Do you know how many people die anyway each year?
It's killed almost nobody at all.

So how long does the vaccine last? No one seems to know? Do we need to get another vaccine booster again eventually down the road? Does the vaccine passport cover just the first vaccine shot even if a second booster is needed eventually? What if someone decides to get the first vaccine shot and not the second one down the road? Does the vaccine passport run out with the first vaccine shot if you don't get the second one if it's needed?

It's not about the vaccine. It's not even about COVID. It's creeping authoritarianism, disguised as safety and security.
Those who aren't feeling the increasing loss of liberty must have already given all of theirs away.
