I think that the story about that was that an Alien ship got struck by lightning (I think it was lightning) and then crashed there.

why useless? yes, the air force has a space command. but what if the space force has been tasked with missions and responsibilities better suited to a specific group where maximum resources get utilized instead of one part among hundreds of commands? USAF is a very large and globally-spread out branch. i think the space force is a good idea.
the criticism is that Trump created it and i guess the wife picked the camoflauge pattern for the uniforms, and she didnt realize in space your uniform color doesnt matter.
