Ruth Bader Ginsburg's dying wish

I'm primarily a conservative, but I have some liberal leanings when it comes to certain things. I support the 2nd amendment for example, and for much the same reason: If someone is "anti-gun" then don't purchase a gun and raise your kids to do the same.
I cannot support any legislation that tries to dictates what a woman can do with her own body. I mean this sincerely, but I don't know if being a man makes it at least a little more challenging for some to grasp the concept of what women face or would have to face. There's also a judgement that women are choosing abortion as first-choice birth control. Who ever said that and why are people so quick to assume that?
Do you understand you are making a decision that will affect that woman for the rest of her life? We make political judgements that affect strangers all the time, but this is a very personal one that affects individual choices about their own bodies. That's very different than laws governing townships or infrastructure.
Why is it so difficult to simply allow this to remain on the books, and for individuals to raise their families to elect to be "anti-choice" if that is how you believe? If you don't want the women in your family to have a choice, then raise them that way.

I cannot support any legislation that tries to dictates what a woman can do with her own body.
So you don't support legistlation that prevents a woman from swinging her leg in a manner that causes it to impact a cops balls or flail about with her arms in a manner that just happens to knock products off the shelves of a department store or to inject heroin? Those are laws that regulate what a body can be used for. This is nothing new.
We all make decisions that affect us for the rest of our lives. This is just another such decision. It still comes right back to the fact that we are dealing with a persons life and it is not ok to kill them just because they are too young to dissent.
Why is it so difficult? I have a better question. Why is it so easy for you? This is an innocent person we are talking about and you are willing to snuff them out without hesitation. I think it is because you have convinced yourself that it is somehow not a human life. But that is just magic thinking & the science is against you.
From your perspective it is no different that having a bad tooth pulled. From the other perspective it is a monsterous act that extinguishes the life of a innocent. Could you really expect us to do nothing? That would make us worse than those doing the killing. No. Some evils should never and will never be tolerated under any circumstances.

Do you support giving stimulus checks to the fetuses as well as the pregnant mother during this pandemic? If the fetus is a person, do they also qualify for benefits?
If we're going to debate where the line is drawn on what defines "personhood," then where does the above qualify?

Does anyone under 18 receive stimulus checks?
what defines "personhood
Under normal circumstances any fertilized egg will develope into a normal functioning adult. The only variable is time. It idea that it is not while it is in the womb it like the idea that if you step inside a particular room it is ok to kill you but anywhere outside is verboten. That is a retarded argument so do not expect me to pretend it is anything but.

No, it's not a retarded argument.
Please read my comment below. You are the one claiming the fetus is a "person" and if the fetus is a person, why can't that person be entitled to any benefits all other "persons" can be? You're picking and choosing when "personhood" is applicable according to when it's convenient.
We're not talking about a room in a house. We are talking about a woman and her body.

I'm asking your opinion. People under 18 get welfare if unemployed, so should the fetus get those benefits? I'm asking you simply to quantify and qualify just how far you're willing to carry this "personhood" business.
You care so much about a fetus but only while the woman is dealing with it, but after the fetus is born you guys bitch and moan about the costs of supporting those children you forced these women to carry, and in fact even encourage these women to keep popping out.
By that logic you'd rather have taxes pay for women be baby mills with 11 kids each, than to let a woman have autonomy over her own body and have a family when she's ready. Women do use contraception as do men, but sometimes it fails. Women get raped.

I certainly dont. Sounds like you are describing democrat welfare policies. Nor have I ever bitched or moaned about supporting children. I do think the adoption process in unnecessarily protracted and convoluted. It needs to be streamlined significantly.

@Soul_Venom
That's a legitimate question I was asking. This seems to always be a sticking point where those who elect to define "personhood" to fetuses, do so with unique specifications, but not with everything it entails, so I am genuinely and sincerely curious as to your response in this dialogue.

Eww you are virtually a representation of ****ing one eye witch living in the woods. I bet you got a cauldron of boiling bubbling green liuidy soup stuff. You add toad legs, dead unborn babies and spiders to eat.
Thats why you agree with abortion. You probably pay someone wotking at abortion clinics to save you some dead fetus so you can have it delivered to your home chef.
