Since the onset of social media, outrage mobs are increasingly and disproportionately affecting policy, with the silent majority doing what they do best. Is this a good thing? Is it viable? What happens when the current issue is dealt with? Do they find something new to complain about? Where does it end?
Personally, I prefer democracy. I think we need a return to that. Outrage mobs are using the tools of terrorism, so we should use the same tactics against them and not negotiate with them.
    What does everyone else think?

There has been an effective pushback against outrage culture in the past few years, which is partly why Donald Trump became president. Young people on Twitter may believe they are fighting a righteous battle, but actual voters aren't as moved by it.

        Democracy itself is mob rule.
If you're calling Black Live Matter and its supporters an "outrage mob", that's absurd. These were legitimate protests in the mold of MLK's Civil Rights demonstrations. Protests have their place. BLM has effected an important change in how police conduct business, and that is a good thing.

There are factions of outrage mobs in these groups.

Outrage mobs are witch hunts, nothing more ,nothing less, there are factions in thd BLM and Lbgtq who don't want just equality but feel that white people and straights must kneel before them or should not exist.Anyone who thinks that there are not some bad people in these groups are ****ing idiots.
