President Trump teased Democrats following a significant win by Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., in the Nevada Caucuses and a Washington Post report that Russia was trying to help Sanders win the Democratic primary race.
Sanders' victory Saturday – his second after being narrowly edged out in Iowa – has the Democratic establishment reeling, with former Vice President Joe Biden looking to turn things around quickly after finishing a distant second. Trump offered some free advice.
"Are any Democrat operatives, the DNC, or Crooked Hillary Clinton, blaming Russia, Russia, Russia for the Bernie Sanders win in Nevada. If so I suggest calling Bob Mueller & the 13 Angry Democrats to do a new Mueller Report, Democrat Edition," Trump tweeted Sunday afternoon. "Bob will get to the bottom of it!"

BERNIE SANDERS DISAVOWS REPORTED RUSSIAN EFFORTS TO HELP HIS CAMPAIGN
Trump was referring to the Post's report that Sanders was brief regarding Moscow's efforts to interfere in the Democratic primary race on his behalf, and Mueller's investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 election and suspicion of links to Trump's campaign.

“I don't care, frankly, who [Russian President Vladimir] Putin wants to be president,” Sanders said in a statement. “My message to Putin is clear: stay out of American elections, and as president I will make sure that you do.”

The Post's story, citing people familiar with the matter, said President Trump and lawmakers on Capitol Hill also have been informed of the Russian attempts. A New York Times report also said that during a House intelligence briefing, lawmakers learned that Russia wanted Trump to win the general election.
Marc Short, chief of staff for Vice President Pence, sharply denied that intelligence pointed to Russia wanting Trump to win.
In an interview with "Fox News Sunday," Short said that news of Russian interference or preferences is the result of "selective" leaking from the House Intelligence Committee led by Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif.

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham on Friday requested that Attorney General William Barr make several Justice Department and FBI officials available for interviews before the panel related to the bureau’s initial Russia investigation and process to obtain a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrant against former Trump campaign official Carter Page.
In a letter to Barr on Friday, Graham requested interviews with several unnamed case agents and supervisory agents, in addition to Justice Department officials like Bruce Ohr and Dana Boente.
WRAY SAYS FBI CONDUCT SURROUNDING CARTER PAGE FISA WARRANT 'UNACCEPTABLE' AND 'CANNOT BE REPEATED'
“As you are aware, the Committee is continuing to investigate matters related to the Justice Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s handling of the Crossfire Hurricane investigation, including applications for, and renewals of, a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act warrant on Carter Page,” Graham wrote.
"Crossfire Hurricane" was the name for the FBI's initial Russia investigation.
“In order to further the Committee’s oversight of this important matter, I request that you make the following employees available as soon as possible for transcribed interviews,” Graham continued, adding that his committee will also be “directly contacting former Department employees to schedule transcribed interviews and will advise the Department when those interviews are scheduled so that Department counsel may attend.”
It is unclear, at this point, which former DOJ and FBI officials Graham and his panel could contact for interviews.
Graham vowed to probe alleged abuses of FISA last year, following the release of former Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report on the Russia investigation.
The continuation of Graham’s investigation comes after Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz released the findings from his FISA review. Horowitz found specific evidence of oversights and errors by several top FBI employees as they sought to obtain a warrant to surveil Page under the FISA statute.
FISA COURT DOWNPLAYS ROLE OF NEW OVERSEER AMID GOP CRITICISM OVER OBAMA LINK
The FISA Court has ordered an inquiry into a slew of the FBI surveillance abuses over the past several years but has stopped short of requiring the FBI to reverify several potentially impacted warrant applications.
FISC presiding Judge James E. Boasberg said in a recent letter exclusively obtained by Fox News that the court anticipates “additional rulings will be forthcoming.”
Last week, during testimony before the House Judiciary Committee, FBI Director Wray said that the actions taken by the bureau to obtain the FISA warrant against Page were “unacceptable” and “cannot be repeated.”
The FBI director underscored that activities surrounding FISA during the 2016 presidential election were unacceptable and "unrepresentative of who we are as an institution."

After his term as California governor ended and before he became president, Ronald Reagan recorded daily commentaries broadcast by about 350 radio stations and heard by tens of millions of Americans. When I listened to a collection of these broadcasts recently, it sounded like Reagan was warning us about the socialism preached by Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt.
With Sanders’ victory in the Nevada Democratic caucuses Saturday – making him the current front-runner for the Democratic presidential nomination – the words of warning from Reagan struck me as something more Americans ought to be aware of today.
Throughout his nearly five-year radio run, Reagan preached that the promises of socialism were lies. He noted that we often grow so accustomed to them, however, that we lose the fear of the ideology itself.
JAMES CARVILLE EMBRACES SANDERS' 'POLITICAL HACK' LABEL: 'AT LEAST I'M NOT A COMMUNIST'
In one of his commentaries, Reagan quotes a line he once spoke in a play highlighting the far-left ideology’s danger: “I never knew what freedom was until I saw you lose yours.”
In another commentary, the future president tells of a young man debating a socialist who criticized anyone wanting to pursue the finer things in life.
“Socialists ignore the side of man that is of the spirit,” Reagan said back in 1975. “They can provide shelter, fill your belly with bacon and beans, treat you when you’re ill – all the things that are guaranteed to a prisoner or a slave. But they don’t understand we also dream, yes, even of owning a yacht.”

History has always had a way of repeating itself, partly due to ignorance but also attributable to human nature. When German philosophers Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels published “The Communist Manifesto” in 1848 it appealed to idealists, painting a utopian vision of a more just world where poverty was nonexistent and everyone worked together in peace and harmony.
One popular English translation “The Communist Manifesto” ends with the words: “Workers of the world, unite. You have nothing to lose but your chains!” It almost sounds like a Sanders slogan.
But if we should have learned anything since communism went from a theory to the foundation of a tyrannical government following the Russian Revolution in 1917, it is that communism and its cousin socialism did not create utopias. Instead, they brought nightmares to life.
By any objective standard, communism and socialism have destroyed economies, left people impoverished and sometimes starving, and brought about brutal dictatorships that deprived people of the precious freedoms guaranteed to Americans under our Bill of Rights – including freedom of speech, of the press and of religion.
The old saying that absolute power corrupts absolutely has proven true again and again around the world wherever Marxism has been embraced.
That’s why Reagan’s words are as wise today as when he recorded them – many years before some of the most ardent supporters of Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign were even born.
We’d be wise to heed Reagan’s warnings and take his advice.
Back when Reagan was broadcasting his commentaries, communist regimes were officially atheist. They were dedicated to destroying religion, which they saw as an ideology competing with Marxism.
Marx wrote in 1843: “Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the heart of a heartless world, and the soul of soulless conditions. It is the opium of the people.”
To be fair, Bernie Sanders has expressed no ambition to destroy religion. But many of the left want to ban all expressions of faith in the public square.
To these folks, Reagan lamented: “We’ve gone so far that it almost seems a rule originally designed to guard against violation of the Constitution has become an aggressive campaign against religion itself. And isn’t that the very thing we set out to guard against?”
Reagan also warned against Big Government becoming a nanny state, trying to run our lives even with the best of intentions.
When news broke of a school trying to ban hot dogs and root beer and force cafeterias to carry more healthful fare, Reagan said: “Do-gooders, busy-bodies and bureaucrats need to learn that people don’t like to be told what to do. Kids are kids and sometimes persuasion is better than dictatorship.”
Sounds like Regan was talking about former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg – competing with Sanders for the Democratic presidential nomination – and Bloomberg’s infamous campaign against large cups of soda being sold, doesn’t it?
Reagan was born in 1911 – long before television. He grew up with radio and loved the medium and considered it far more intimate and a better fit for him than TV.
According to his wife Nancy, Reagan worked through his ideas for commentaries during long, hot showers and would then put pen to paper, -

In comments made on the South Lawn of the White House Sunday, President Trump told reporters that he thinks Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders will be the Democratic presidential nominee unless the Democratic Party bends the rules to block his nomination.
Many Sanders supporters felt the Democratic establishment favored the party's 2016 nominee, Hillary Clinton, during that year's primary contest and are concerned something similar could happen in 2020 to tip the scales against the democratic socialist senator. Sanders, however, has jumped out to be the clear front-runner, winning New Hampshire and Nevada while still competing with former South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg for first in Iowa's yet-to-be-decided caucuses.
"I think it was a great win for Bernie Sanders. We'll see how it all turns out. They've got a lot of winning to do. I hope they're treated fairly," Trump said.

Then asked if he thought he would face Sanders in the general election, Trump said that he did, but added a qualifier.
"I think so, unless they cheat him out of it," Trump said. "I think so. I think Bernie is looking more and more like he'll be the nominee … A lot of people thought he was going to be the nominee last time and that didn't work out."
Those comments followed a Saturday night tweet in which Trump warned Sanders, "don't let them [Democrats] take it away from you!"
Meanwhile, reports emerged last week that former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg was quietly plotting a strategy to unite moderate candidates' delegates behind him to block Sanders at a brokered convention. An internal memo from his campaign, which warned that other moderate candidates should drop out before Super Tuesday to give Bloomberg a chance to stop Sanders from accruing a majority of delegates, also leaked last week.

This also comes as Buttigieg and former Vice President Joe Biden are fighting over the mantle of the moderate, electable alternative heading into the South Carolina primary. Biden holds a thin lead there over Sanders, and a win in what has been called his firewall state could breathe new life into the flagging Biden effort.
Sanders, however, seemed to be cobbling together the kind of broad coalition that many questioned whether he could produce with his decisive Nevada win – Sanders took 46 percent of the vote with 60 percent reporting as of Sunday morning.

Six people were killed – including three children – after a head-on collision on Interstate 95 in Georgia early Sunday, according to officials.
The Georgia State Patrol told Fox 5 the deadly crash happened around 2:05 a.m. near the Exit 76 on-ramp to the interstate in Liberty County, located about 30 miles south of Savannah.
Officials said a Lexus RX350 with Florida license plates driven by 77-year-old man had been traveling in the wrong direction in the left lane on the interstate. The Lexus then struck head-on a Nissan Rogue with an adult female driver, adult passenger, and three children inside.

Two people were killed and dozens were injured Wednesday after whiteout conditions along a highway in Canada trigged a massive pileup involving 200 vehicles south of Montreal.
Transport Minister Francois Bonnardel told reporters in Quebec City the pileup took place in an area where heavy winds come off the river, creating sudden blizzard-like conditions. Two snow removal operations took place in the area in the hour before the incident, but strong winds blew snow back into the roadway from the nearby river.
“People were driving, there were strong winds … and, suddenly, you couldn't see anything,'' Bonnardel told reporters. "And then, well, the pileup started."

"That's when we were like 'this is bad,' and we need to get out of the car. Our doors were pressed against the snow so we had to get out of the windows and run up onto the snowbank and we were just watching."

A single-engine plane crashed shortly after takeoff from a Hawaii airport Saturday morning, landing upside-down on nearby U.S. Army property, killing both people onboard.
The small, two-seater aircraft, a 1979 Cessna Ector 305, also known as an L19 Bird Dog, crashed around 9:20 a.m. local time shortly after taking off at Dillingham Airfield, located about 35 miles northwest of Honolulu, on Oahu's North Shore, Honolulu’s KITV reported.
One man, who was in his 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene, an Emergency Medical Services spokeswoman told Hawaii News Now. The second onboard, a 78-year-old man, was rushed to the hospital, where he later died of his injuries. Authorities have yet to identify the victims.

Last June, 11 people who had set off on a skydiving expedition were killed when a Beechcraft BE65 twin-engine plane went down shortly after takeoff from Dillingham Airfield.
Dillingham Airfield, a general aviation airport, is operated by the Hawaii Department of Transportation. It was closed indefinitely following Saturday’s crash, Hawaii DOT said.
DEATH TOLL IN HAWAII PLANE CRASH RISES TO 11 VICTIMS
In light of the second tragedy at the airfield in nine months, U.S. Sen. Brian Schatz, D-Hawaii, called for its permanent closure, Hawaii News Now reported. Despite signing a five-year lease with the U.S. Army, Hawaii DOT announced earlier this month it's cutting its contract about three and a half years short. The state is transferring Dillingham Airfield back to the Army effective July 1.
"It has become clear that Dillingham Airfield cannot continue to operate safely,” Schatz said in a statement. “Our obligation is to keep people safe, and the only way to do that is to keep the airfield closed. I urge the FAA and HDOT (Hawaii Department of Transportation) to shut down the airfield until they can guarantee safety of operations at Dillingham.”
U.S. Rep. Ed Case, D-Hawaii, asked for an investigation of safety issues surrounding the airfield.

“While it will probably be more than a year until officials are able to determine the cause of this crash, the Federal Aviation Administration cannot treat this as an isolated incident as it did with the previous three, but must immediately ask itself the hard question it has thus far avoided of whether existing tour helicopter/small aircraft regulations are simply inadequate to protect the safety of those in the aircraft and of the over 1 million of us that they fly over every day," Case said in a statement.
But state Rep. Sen. Gil Riviere, who serves the area, said calling for the airfield's closure so close to the deaths of the two pilots was an "insensitive" move.
“These men absolutely loved to fly at Dillingham Airfield, so a call to shut down the airport within hours of their loss is truly insensitive and misinformed," he said.

“I’m deeply saddened to hear the news of two people losing their lives in today’s crash. My heart goes out to the family and friends of the victims,” Honolulu Mayor Kirk Caldwell tweeted. “Thank you to all the first responders on scene today. We are working with ME’s office to make sure family members are notified.”

Around 10,000 demonstrators in Germany on Sunday marched through the town of Hanau to mourn nine victims who were fatally shot by a suspected right-wing extremist last week.
Addressing the crowds, Hanau Mayor Claus Kaminsky called the past week among the “blackest and darkest” the town had ever experienced during peacetime, the Germany News agency dpa reported.

But he qualified that those who want to pull apart society won't succeed, "because we are more and we will prevent that."
The armed suspect, a 43-year-old German man, fatally shot nine people in the Frankfurt suburb on Wednesday before apparently killing his mother and himself.
Five of the victims were reportedly Turkish citizens. The attacker left rambling texts and videos in which he espoused racist views, called for genocide and claimed to have been under surveillance since birth.
Turkey's ambassador to Germany, Ali Kemal Aydin, warned that Turkish immigrants in Germany are experiencing more and more hate crimes in the country.
"This cannot and this must not continue," Aydin said at the protest.
The racist killings were Germany's third deadly far-right attack in recent months. The rampage followed October's anti-Semitic attack on a synagogue in Halle and the slaying in June of a regional politician who supported Chancellor Angela Merkel's welcoming policy toward migrants.

The killings come at a time when the Alternative for Germany has become the country's first extreme-right political party to establish itself as a significant force in decades. All of the victims had immigrant roots, and many are accusing the party of producing a climate where extremism and racism can flourish.

There have been daily candlelight vigils for the victims since the shooting and another big protest against racism on Saturday that also drew thousands. A memorial for the victims is planned for later this week.

PROGRAMMING ALERT: On Sunday, February 23 at 10 p.m. and on Monday, February 24 at 1 a.m ET, Fox News will air the new special "Unknown Valor: A Story of Family, Courage and Sacrifice," which is the story of Fox News anchor Martha MacCallum's journey to reveal the fate of her uncle, Private Harry Gray, who was killed on Iwo Jima 75 years ago. The director's cut of "Unknown Valor,” will be available exclusively on Fox Nation.
"Is that someone that you recognize?" asked Fox News anchor Martha MacCallum, as she showed an old, yellowed picture of a young Marine to World War II veteran Charles Gubish.

"Oh yeah," said Gubish, the weathered image sparking his recollection. "That was my buddy, Gray."
Harry Gray died 75 years ago, fighting for his country on a remote, volcanic island thousands of miles from home. He's a person who MacCallum never met, but whose story she knows well.

"He was my uncle," said MacCallum, visibly holding back her emotions.

The incredible scene was the culmination of years of research that MacCallum spent closing the circle on a family story that had been passed down generations, but had never been fully completed until now.
This is all told in MacCallum's new book, "Unknown Valor: A Story of Family, Courage and Sacrifice from Pearl Harbor to Iwo Jima," and in associated Fox News and Fox Nation specials.
"In war movies there are the heroes and then there are hundreds of others," said MacCallum in the Fox Nation show. "The guys who get hit on the beach or in the villages, just trying to carry out the mission. … They are the 'extras' in the movie, but for some family somewhere, they are their 'Harry Gray.' … the line on the family tree that just ends, a young man who never got to have a life, get married, grow old."

MacCallum began learning about her mother's cousin, Harry, when she was a young girl.
He was 18 years old in the summer of 1944, when he left Arlington, Mass., to join the Marines and fight in World War II.
Harry and nearly 7,000 fellow Marines were killed fighting on Iwo Jima, in what would prove to be one of the bloodiest battles of the war, as the U.S. military prepared for an invasion of Imperial Japan.
"As allied forces fought the Nazis in Europe," narrated MacCallum, "America was virtually alone in the battle against the Japanese in the Pacific."
For MacCallum's family, all they knew of the fate of their son, brother and cousin, was what they could glean from the letters and official reports – that he was killed on Iwo Jima on March 13, 1945.

After returning from a trip to Iwo Jima, retracing her uncle's footsteps, MacCallum received a tip that would lead to a series of incredible discoveries.
"I got a call from a researcher friend," said MacCallum in the Fox Nation piece. "He asked for a picture of Harry Gray to show his friend, Charlie Gubish. We knew Charlie was in the 34th replacement draft and had also been wounded on March 13."
"He was my buddy," Gubish told MacCallum as they sat across from each other in one remarkable scene. "My foxhole buddy. He’d always call me 'Pop' because I was 24 at that time and he was 18. He’d always say, 'Pop, sleep, I’ll watch.'"
Fox Nation's 'Minutes to Hiroshima'Video
"To find Charlies after all these years was not something I had ever anticipated," said MacCallum, reflecting on that interview. "His story lined up perfectly with everything we knew about that day and he was able to tell us things about Harry we would never have known."
Gubish remembered the day that Harry was killed, as they marched to the front for the very first time, providing the only first-hand account of his death.
"A mortar shell landed on the right-hand side, about 50 feet and nobody paid no attention," said Gubish. "Then there was one on the left-hand side, about the same distance. I hollered, hit the deck. They got us right in the middle. Well, that’s what killed him."
As MacCallum neared finishing her book, she decided to make another attempt at tracking more close acquaintances of her uncle, and again, it paid off.
She located Harry's friend, George Colburn, who had also enlisted in the Marines and lived in nearby Medford, Mass.

"George was alive at 93 years old!" said MacCallum in the Fox Nation special. "The same age as his old buddy, Harry Gray."
