I have no idea. I grew up with firearms in the house, even as a kid. Military family. People were very open about having them, but it's like something happened and the sanity that existed many years ago is gone, and people have lost their marbles.
One thing I've noticed, relative to this or anything else, is there's this giant loss of respect that used to exist between generations and among people in general.

In many states, to get a permit, you have to take a firearm education and proficiency test, both practical and written, which you must pass if you qualify to get your firearm permit. One good thing about that is people are trained and familiar as to how to handle their firearms (something outlaws don't do).
This is one of many instances where armed customers or clients have been able to take out a dangerous gunman, heading off great collateral damage, injuries and deaths.

So you don’t believe in the judicial system? Maybe those people who were shot were responsible for raping the shooter 5 years ago….but we’ll never know because some redneck decided to play God, yup guns are a wonderful thing.

I read that the shooter was trying to steal the offerings and was confronted by a good guy with a gun who was too slow. He's the one who died. Fortunately, he had a backup.

Depending on the state, yes you can kill someone in self defense and get away with. Still doesn’t make it moral or correct, you should run away instead and call the police.
If you’re trapped and have nowhere to run then you should beg with your killer and try to reason with them. If this doesn’t work then you should try and knock your attacker out cold but don’t kill them, then you can call the police and have them arrested.
