The 5th richest man in the US can't fork out for non-forced labor? He's a slave driver! -

If you read the article you'll see the Bloomberg campaign admitted to it, although they claim they weren't aware it was going on until it got outed. It was one of those "I accidentally used prison labor" kind of things that happens to everybody.

It's not forced labor. The prisoners are paid and they get experience they can carry over into real life. It would be great if more corporations would farm out work to prisons.

No, I just don't this is a big freaking deal what Bloomberg did. Out of everything they pick on him for that?
I think American society definitely has a lot of screws loose themselves. I've already discussed the mental health epidemic in this country. I also found new statistic that indicate the mental health crisis has gotten worse. I believe this article is just another example of the mental illness crisis. It's like mass hysteria and rampant paranoia.
If a voter were actually take this situation reported about Bloomberg seriously, the information could effect his image as a potential presidential candidate. His ethics and integrity would be questioned.
Therefore, American politics is under attack.
That's individual U.S. politicians and Congress: it's the U.S. federal government and State government, our law enforcement, the school districts, our constitution, our media, our capitalism etc…the whole thing. Under attack and being undermined. -

Edit: Actually, the writer suggests through context that the issue was privacy. The people contact by that call center for the purpose of Bloomberg's campaigne, were uncomfortable having their phone number as well as their other personal information near prison inmates. I am sure their privacy was safegauded.
And yes, I agree with you. -
