…straight marriages aren't even a right? Marriages in general aren't even a right. No one has a "right" to get married. They just do.
What a stupid Supreme Court decision.
Marriages start out as a union between the church and the couple. The states only started involving themselves in marriages until there were some discrepancies over property rights when one spouse dies. That's the ONLY reason the state has involvement in marriage - so there's legal proof the couple was married.
Because of this, now the fags want to get married only so they can free stuff when one spouse dies. It has nothing to do with wanting to join a Holy Union with God, having their marriage honored by the church, wanting to get married so they can have sex for the first time. It has nothing to do with getting married for the RIGHT reasons that people get married for, it has to do with FREE STUFF, PROPERTY. Fags should be ashamed of themselves. It's offensive.
So how can the Supreme Court declare gay marriage is a FEDERAL RIGHT, when marriage was never a FEDERAL INSTITUTION in the first place, it was a STATE INSTITUTION. You get your marriage license issued by the STATE, not the U.S. Government, and it was never a RIGHT: marriage licenses cost money, and you don't have to pay for rights. Both the church can decline to marry you as well as the state. It was never a right.

      Excellent analysis.
      You are precisely correct.
And Remember Abortion is not a "Right" either. But the Supreme Court in all of their wisdom (Sarcasm) made that a right in 1973.

Yea like, where in the Constitution does it say we have a right to terminate pregnancies?
Granted, the opinion declared was "right to privacy," but the constitution says nothing about a right to privacy. The word privacy isn't in there. And it's even a stretch to link "privacy" to abortion.
Legally, abortion shouldn't be federally banned or federally allowed. The states should decide on abortion.
