Protesters are by definition angry, so to use anger as a justification to refer to them as a "mob" is silly. The term "mob" has a deeply negative connotation and can reveal a political bias if used in a particular way. To call a group of people a mob who are engaged in normal protesting, and when most members are peaceful, is unfair. CNN is usually sensationalist, but I give them credit here in exercising journalistic restraint.
Speaking of revealing political bias, from that same article:
On Tuesday, Lemon –
who once held up a sign featuring the N-word on his program
– declared that harassing elected officials in public settings such as restaurants is not “mob behavior” during a heated discussion on the topic.
How the hell is that out of context mention of Don Lemon holding up a sign with the "N-word" on it, relevant at all? CNN isn't great, but Fox News is just trash. -

I know I'm not Yermom but yes, both the protesters at that rally and those countering them had bad actors among them.
There were also black people marching in that rally and so let's not have any of those "It was a white supremacist march" lies being kicked about as true, they are not.

I'm not standing shoulder to shoulder with anyone on any cause because people aren't to be trusted.
But since we must all share this bundle of mud orbiting its sun I, and many like me, are happy to conform to a system of rules which enables everyone to get the very best out of their time here.
A thing so taken for granted that it wasn't even in the United States of America Constitution when it was first written but was included on its very first revision was the freedom of speech.
Democrats and wannabe autocrats are looking to remove that from The People. This is why people who are in completely different groups with absolutely opposing mindsets are marching together. Without a means to express an communicate there is no freedom.
Censorship, editing and amending situations to support division and polarise people, repeating the same message across multiple platforms and in varying ways and telling people they are bad if they do not conform is exactly why the Internet is so important.
But of course, you'll not notice that until they come for you. Just like the did on IMDb after Trump got elected.
Imagine that all the time, everywhere on the web and you'll go to jail if you try to get around it.
Can you maybe see why people are marching with their enemies while you get the sanitised version which makes you want to
