If you are injured in a car accident, and you are rescued by a strange woman who brings you back to her place so you can recover, who seems hospitable at first, but then you begin to realize that she’s keeping you there by force, and discover she never contacted your family or the police to notify them of your whereabouts, and then restrains you to a bed while unconscious, and upon waking finding yourself tied to bed, she then smashes your feet with a sledgehammer so you can’t escape, and then, is about to shoot you and then herself so you two can die together, at that point, and that point only, if you shall find a chance to escape, you may hit her, and may trip her with your broken leg causing her to smash her head into a typewriter, and even may beat her head into a bloody pulp, as a means to save your life.
Only in that scenario is it ok to hit a woman.
