Possibly because it's considered a propaganda arm of the Iranian government.
Russia Today is facing a similar situation in the US. Actually, it can still operate but it has to register as a "foreign agent".

Presstv is the best news, I've subscribed to it on YT. Their unbiased news coverage in Syria/Iraq and Palestine is impressive, hard to paint them pesky jews as da bad guys!
