You are trying to point out how bad Islam is with this, but just about every religion has something that in some way violates or manipulates the child.
We should all be given a conscious choice when we reach an older age.
It would be a much better world without religion.

There is a comparison between a baby being baptized and this alleged marriage of a 12 year old girl to an 80 year old man.
And that is that both are being done against their will or else that neither one is being given a choice of what they want in a religious ceremony at a young age.
Yes, baptism is harmless compared to this marriage but when that baby is being raised in a Catholic household, it will go through a lifetime of dogma and brainwashing through a manipulative religion that doesn't like to question the authority put forth through many centuries of conditioning in a oppressive way.

Actually you'll find it's a pretty much equal number of Christians who do the same. It's not a religious matter, it's an African custom which is prevalent in Muslim and Christian countries both.
