We live on a speck of dust harboring an oasis in a vast cosmic desert. It's a desert so masssive, that there are no known similar places, and even the candidates are across impossible distances.
In all this, people choose to spend their brief flash of existence/consciousness trying to make things harder for others, following Bronze Age myths for the pipe dream of a heaven, running themselves ragged to gain some temporary society approved success and validation… This time is precious. Enjoy it. Help others enjoy it, or at least don't make it hard for them.

Maybe unconsciously. I have read Demon Haunted World and watched the original Cosmos. Could've had some influence.

I love how the idea of King of the Hill partly came from his experience of living in some Texas suburbs while fixing a fence, I think it was, and his neighbors were basically like Hank and hia friends, and put up the whole fence for him. -

Yeah, I love it. There are a few flaws, like the animation isn't as good in parts, but overall, it's a realistic look into where these characters end up, and has the same humor.
I love that I looked like Bobby in 4th grade, and now I kind of look like him as an adult.
Like down to what he sleeps in.
Like, the only difference in appearance is I have a more prominent jawline. -

Haven't watched Silicon Valley. The one throughline in his stuff is he portrays reality with a little bitbof exaggeration for the sake of comedy. In everything I've seen, I've known people like the characters or experienced something similar.
