there was one guy with Tourette's in the subway today and i have to admit after i got out of the subway i have never laughed at a disability so much in my life.
now, i know that sounds harsh but it's not the actual disability i was laughing at, it was the things the sufferer was saying.
quotes such as (in German) "i'm up to my knees in cow pat", "i'm a chicken ****ter" and "chopper dyed his pubes ginger" are so out of context with everyday conversations i barely could hold my laughter in.
then there was the rather disturbing side, such as "i'm a rapist" and "i'm not a gay man".
i felt a bit guilty afterwards, but it was nearly impossible to hold back the laughter and judging by people's faces in the subway many felt the same. at least i didn't burst out with laughter in the presence of the poor guy. lol
do u think it's acceptable to laugh at such a disability? i didn't see it as laughing at the issue, bc it's obvious it's a massive hindrance in people's lives, but it was simply what he was saying.

I just think they are *****. Notice how it is always vile words they say? Their inner **** comes out and they don't have enough will power like normal people to control themselves so they start ticking out and shouting whatever words come to their mind.
I've never met a person with "tourettes" but I'd definitely ask why it's always bad words they say if I ever did. Like stick a ****ing sock in your mouth and shut the **** up you inconsiderate pricks.

Well, am I wrong tho? People are quick to muzzle a dog when they disrupt public peace so do the same to these twats.
My son picked up a swear word sometime last year and repeated it at school and got in trouble for it. Now could you imagine the **** he would pick up sitting next to someone in mcdonald's with tourettes? Yeah. As a parent it would be my fault ofc! Gag the fookin lot ov em!

If it's wrong then i'm guilty. It can seem quite charming sometimes. Poor buggers.

Well… not everyone with Tourette’s is like that. Those who are like that suffer from what is called coprolalia, a condition that causes people who suffer from it to involuntarily and repetitively use obscene language. It’s a condition that is linked with mental illness or brain disease.
However, most people with Tourette’s have tics that aren’t obscene or verbal. They may repeatedly clear their throat, shrug their shoulders, or tap their fingers together, among many other things.
As for whether it’s wrong to laugh at people with Tourette’s who also deal with coprolalia, that’s entirely up to you to decide. You can laugh and be a bad person, or you can keep yourself from laughing and be a good person. It’s up to you, kiddo.
                                  I live. I die. I live again.

If laughing is an involuntary reflex there is nothing wrong.
We are always being expected to control everything about ourselves and at times we just cannot help a reaction and that should be recognized.

Or you could just be a decent person and say something about having Tourette’s and your particular form of Tourette’s makes you laugh uncontrollably.
