I bought someone an unexpected gift card and I sent him the gift card information online but he hasn't used it yet in over a month. I even offered to give it to him hand to hand since I still have the physical gift card in my possession and he keeps making excuses as to why he doesn't just want to get it hand to hand and he sreaight up hasn't answered my latest question if he even wants it in the first place. Am I well into my rights to just use the gift card on myself then since he seems to be ignoring/making excuses to not get it hand to hand? 😕

Spend it on yourself and if he ever says " Hey do you still have that gift card ya got me?" punch him in the nose.

If you give someone a gift it's theirs. You can't attach strings to it, like you must use it now! He probably wonders why you're bugging him about it. Forget about it and leave him alone.

It seems he doesn't want to see you in person. Any idea why?

The strings he attaches to the gifts he gives might be a great clue "why".

What's the expiry date? Maybe he has 6 months to use it. I'd give him a little more time, and stop bugging him about it.
