It even freaks me out just to Google them. I can tolerate the thumbnail but I have to cover my eyes when I click on it to enlarge it.
I hate seeing them when I'm driving down the highway and I'm forced to pass them. It's not considerate that people who built these statues didn't stop to think that some people may have a fear of them and maybe it's not the best idea to put them along a highway where just the anticipation passing it gives you a panic attack.
Imagine it's 2 in the morning. Barely any streetlights. No traffic. Dark out. You're driving and you see THIS in your peripheral vision when you didn't expect it coming: that wouldn't freak you out? I can't IMAGINE how the hell someone can get that close to that thing on a BOAT ALONE! No way! I would rather bungee jump! Just the picture of this creepy!!!!
This one is UNDERWATER. Scuba diving is scary in itself, but imagine on top of being in the unknown mirky water you see a STATUE? No way! -

I agree. That's the only one which freaks me out. On the others, I think the OP confuses awe-inspiring with freaky.
