"you're the best, around, there's nothing ever going to take you down." this is the best song in any action movie i've ever heard. it is this bc it is the most inspiring, exhilarating, rousing, motivational hero, step up to the moment action scene song of all time. also it is this bc it's the most '80s nostalgic song in a movie that here ever has been.
it also has the 2nd most inspiring, exciting, exhilarating song of all time in the end credits, "it's the moment of truth…" this is so '80s nostalgic that it almost makes me want to cry bc it really, really brings me back to the '80s and back to watching '80s movies when i was a kid. it has the heart that spirit of the '80s in the most specific way that really touches me bc it has every feeling of being in the '80s as a kid in it.
and you also have cruel summer by bananarama and a few great feeling and well made '80s songs.

you also have cruel summer by bananarama
My first time hearing "Cruel Summer" was in The Karate Kid and whenever I hear that song it takes me back to when I first saw the film at a movie theater in Boston in the summer of '84. Fun times!

did it used to be one of your favorite movies when you first watched it in a theater as kid? i mean you were so young then like 13 right? so it must have been a great and epic film watching experience right?

so you both realized kiss is basically a poser band right?
KISS are awesome…well, the early stuff they did is awesome. Underneath the makeup and merchandising there are some good rock n roll tunes. I just thought that I grew out of them at a certain age (like, 12 or 13) and I foolishly gave away most of my KISS stuff. Years later I regretted getting rid of my old KISS records.
the karate kid is mostly great for kids but not great for adults really?
I think kids can relate to the film's characters and message more but adults can still enjoy it. -

At that point in the movie I was thinking where in the world did they learn to dance like that if Rev Shaw Moore had dancing banned in Bomont for 5 years? Like they let out their hidden talents that had been bottled up.
