My first time hearing "Cruel Summer" was in The Karate Kid and whenever I hear that song it takes me back to when I first saw the film at a movie theater in Boston in the summer of '84. Fun times!

At that point in the movie I was thinking where in the world did they learn to dance like that if Rev Shaw Moore had dancing banned in Bomont for 5 years? Like they let out their hidden talents that had been bottled up.

I think Rick in the movie Just One of The Guys is up there with Ren McCormick and Swayze. I see my self dancing like him at prom with Ren's moves too but I could never be like Swayze.
